Ooops: Louisiana voters told they can't vote
Perhaps this is why Hillary didn't bother campaigning here. Throughout the day there have been widespread reports of people being turned away, told that they either were not registered, or had not changed their affiliation in time. Some of these reports came directly into my email inbox, so I'm not just relying on the Obama campaign. And, of course, this is a tactic that has been used in the past. You might say that no one would know who to turn away, since you can't tell who they might be voting for. But recently registered voters are always more likely to be supporting a new political figure (like Obama) than an established one (like Clinton.) So the newly inspired are rejected at the polls.
It really is time for a change.
